My life closed twice before its close--a poem by Emily Dickinson

My life closed twice before its close--
It yet remains to see
If Immortality unveil
A third event to me

So huge, so hopeless to conceive
As these that twice befell.
Parting is all we know of heaven,
And all we need of hell.

~Emily Dickinson

  1. Hello 'Mell'. Apologies if that's overfamiliar. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving some intersting comments.
I was so sorry to read your story but I applaud the road you are taking and believe that it is therapeutic for you to work through your grief in this way.
Emily Dickinson is under-appreciated in the UK but I have always admired her and Whitman.
